Madras is known as a major cotton producing region due to its climatic characteristics . Its history dates back to ancient times, and the excellent hand weaving techniques have been handed down to the present day.
All processes are completed in Madras, South India. As was the case before the Industrial Revolution, we have inherited the family-run cottage handicraft industry.

Single weaver refers to a weaving process in which one craftsman weaves a fabric from start to finish on a hand loom . The warp threads are threaded on the loom and the weft threads are inserted to produce the fabric. This contrasts with modern factories where multiple workers share the same tasks and control the high-speed loom. Hand weaving by a single weaver takes an average of 30 to 40 times longer than using a modern loom .
